Cristian Stancu

Cristian Stancu is an artist of pictorial art, who has interest in and respects other forms of artistic expression such as sculpture, and photography.

His vocation for painting began at the early age of 10 and thanks to his talent and determination he became a Professor of Painting at the Faculty of Arts of Bucharest, Rumania (2004 - 2006). He taught the study of colors, painting techniques such as watercolor, tempera, oil, acrylic; and several pictorial arts: Byzantine Icon (on wood and on glass), Flemish and Venetian (on wood and on canvas).

He has exhibited in different Galleries and has developed his work in several countries as a consequence of his artistic interest: Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Rumania, Hungary, etc.

He admires the classic and great Painters including Tiziano, Da Vinci, Velázquez, El Greco, Rembrandt, Monet, Renoir, etc. and also the periods of great creativity and genius such as Renaissance or Impresionist, amongst others.

Cristian´s work is quite eclectic. He has been through different phases (Realism and Abstract) currently he mixs both in the same work of art. He is a perfectionist, meticulous and with a steady but gentle hand. Realism and Abstract are brilliantly combined.

He has experience in several mediums for example painting canvases, mural painting (fresco, oil and tempera) and application of gold leaf on walls.
